So this is something I came up with last night after looking at far too many pictures of old Big Boss and helping to draw one. In other words, I'll just blame myself to make this easier. Also, for all my obsessing over canon when I write, I'm not sure how much of the old MG/MG2 timeline still holds after MGS4 and PW (some of it honestly asks to be retconned, and not just details like Miller's hair), let alone how these all fit together, so let's say that either this could have happened at some point or it's a divergence. I mean, it's a vague drabble-style scene that I needed to get out of my system - no biggie. XD

The thing is, the challenge had such a low turn-out that it seems nobody even won in the end. (Which might actually be for the better since I loved the one other story that was submitted. No regrets either way now! XD)

Summary: Ever since Big Boss and Zero parted ways, they might as well have lived in different dimensions. Even if they were in the same room.
Notes: The first part would take place right after Big Boss's body was recovered by Zero the Patriots; the second one at the end of MGS4. Written for the "two dimensions" theme.
Warnings: Abuse of MGS4 quotes; non-explicit mentions of death, induced coma, and other similarly delightful plot points of this series.

Such great characters to write about
Jun. 17th, 2010 10:00 pmBefore we get down to business, let me just get my moment of narcissism over with: I AM INORDINATELY PLEASED WITH THIS THING. Haven't had such fun writing a fic in ages. (Present tense! Sentence fragmentation! Where have you been since our last escapade, you glorious bitches-- okay, that was uncalled for.)
Also, I love how writing for MGS can pretty much eliminate the need for epithets when every character goes by several names that alone may be used according to context. In other words, as entertaining as describing some sort of epic orgy would have been, there really are just two people actively involved in this scene. Honest! XD
Title: Three Days Later
Pairing: Big Boss/Ocelot
Rating: NSFW (swearing, some sexual content)

Summary: After an unsavoury mission tests the limits of Ocelot's nerve and patience, there's only one man he knows can take the edge off for him. The assistance turns out to be mutual.

Notes: Believe it or not, I began to write this as a spur-of-the-moment PWP one random night. Before I knew what was happening, though, the story grew on me and I found myself buried in a steaming pile of thinly veiled character meta and pseudo-philosophical rambling with some porn thrown in. And decided I liked that version better.
Notes II (AKA feel free to skip this): I was totally going to wait to post this until I'd played PeaceWalker, but then I figured this entire set-up would have only been possible in the time window between Portable Ops and PW anyway, so might as well go ahead. It definitely has to be before Big Boss gets all incensed about the clone shenanigans and takes off to, er, spread the revolution. Which places this fic sometime between 1970 and 1972, I presume. Geez, how anticlimactic is it that supposedly awesome organization only remained intact for two years?

Summary: Ocelot has always enjoyed a little competition, especially when there were hidden benefits.
Word Count: ~1500
Warnings: POV strangeness, closet crack, shameless abuse of classical music. Also, Psycho Mantis doesn't take kindly to people messing with his phobias at all since he investigated that serial killer [ETA: I had the weirdest notions of what was "funny" when I wrote this].
Notes: I blame The Last Days of FOXHOUND for the fact that I can't get the notion of Mantis and Ocelot fighting over who's the bigger manipulator out of my head. I went with the interpretation that Mantis has an aversion to sex in general (even if it may be an unfair extension), just because it makes the contrast between him and Ocelot's "innuendo for all seasons" that much funnier. And thus they Clash Epically. I sincerely apologize.

Storytelling gone haywire

( First off, I've annotated a screencap for the benefit of all )
These characters both fascinate me and crack me up by their interaction. In what short time I've spent in the MGS fandom, I've picked up on a few, er, phenomena pertaining to Ocelot. All of them originated in the actual games, but it seems they've become the stuff of legend since being let out into the open. If I had to make a list of them, they'd be:
Ocelot's acquired taste for torture;
his constant drive to impress Big Boss (see also "That was some fancy shooting");
the supposedly insightful "Why didn't Ocelot take advantage when Big Boss was tied up in MGS3?" question;
Ocelot's infamous cockblock, bullet-block, you-name-it-block when it comes to Big Boss;
and the skill in deception Ocelot profits from later in his life, which he probably didn't learn overnight. (Although, with him, you never know.)
It was a matter of time, really, before I looked at those things and went, "Time to reflect!" And so this happened.
Title: Define Torture
Pairing: Big Boss/Ocelot (Metal Gear Solid)
Rating: NSFW
Summary: It's one thing to be captured on the battlefield, quite another to wind up in a makeshift torture chamber at the hands of your unreasonably attached ex-rival who can't make up his mind about the procedure. 80% serious, 20% crack.
Word Count: ~2,300
Notes: Contains a kind of "Easter eggs" in terms of phrasing, as I clearly have the Voice of Godjima lodged somewhere in my subconscious. Set between Snake Eater and the San Hieronymo Takeover. Location classified.
Warnings: Unclear consent, mild violence (you know, just the quintessential amount), GUN-TWIRLING. :P
